Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan lansia tentang hipertensi dikelurahan koya timur. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari Puskesmas Koya Barat Distrik Muara Tami Kabupaten Jayapura menunjukan bahwa kasus penyakit hipertensi pada lansia cukup tinggi yaitu dari jumlah lansia yang berkunjung ke Puskesmas ada 54 orang sebanyak 28 orang menderita hipertensi dan 21 orang menderita diabetes sedangkan 6 orang lainnya menderita penyakit lain.Tujuan penelitian untuk menggambarkan pengetahuan lansia tentang hipertensi, penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskritif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan data purposive sampling .Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 80 orang. Hasil menunjukan pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 5% orang, cukup sebanyak 16,2%, baik sebanyak 38,8% orang, dan sangat baik sebanyak 40% orang. Kesimpulan, dari penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil bahwa rata-rata pengetahuan lansia tentang hipertensi di Kelurahan Koya Timur adalah baik. Sarannya yaitu Kepada Puskesmas Koya Barat diharapkan semakin meningkatkan kegiatannya dalam mengontrol kesehatan para lansia dan dapat memberikan pengetahuan lebih tentang penyakit yang terjadi pada lansia. Kata Kunci : Pengetahuan, Hipertensi. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The purpose of this study was to describe the level of knowledge of the elderly about hypertension in East Koya Village. Based on data obtained from the West Koya public Health Center, Muara Tami District, Jayapura Regency, it shows that cases of hypertension in the elderly are quite high, namely from the number of elderly people who visit the public health center, 28 of them suffer from hypertension and 21 suffer from diabetes while 6 people others suffer from other diseases. The aim of this study is to describe the knowledge of the elderly about hypertension, this study uses quantitative descriptive methods with purposive sampling data collection technique. The sample of this study was 80 people. The results showed that there was a lack of knowledge of 5% of people, 16.2% of people were sufficient, 38.8% of people were good, and 40% of them were very good. Conclusion, from this study, the results show that the average knowledge of the elderly about hypertension in East Koya is good. The suggestion is that the West Koya public health center is expected to further increase its activities in controlling the health of the elderly and can provide more knowledge about diseases that occur in the elderly.
